Skeptical Observer Standard
Every figure on these pages is audited against an internal standard that assumes a skeptical observer will check the source. If we cannot show the village list, we do not show the number.

We do not intervene in villages; we are invited. Every household counted is a household that consented to be counted. Every SHG formed is an SHG that named itself.

An impact number without a source is a rumour. These awareness slides walk you through the principles that govern how Meer Foundation counts, walks, listens, and reports.
Every household figure is built bottom-up from SHG registers and village surveys — never extrapolated from a sample. If the village ledger does not add up, the number is revised.
Every figure in our impact ledger is audited against the Skeptical Observer Standard before publication.
Outcomes — not outputs — are what we count. Bridges built matter less than crossings made.
Before a number is published, the village it came from signs off on it. Community attestation is the final filter.
