Overview

Fourteen years on the ground — four ways to join

Meer Foundation was founded in 2011 in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh. Fourteen years later, our work reaches over one lakh households across twelve districts — focused on the communities most often left out of India's growth story: Dalit and Tribal villages, women farmers, riparian families, and rural school children. There are four ways to join that work. Whichever path you choose, your effort is routed through the Five Pillars Framework — the communication lens that keeps us honest about whether lives actually improved.

“Institutions must be able to demonstrate, with evidence that would convince a skeptical observer, that the communities they touch are measurably better because of their presence. Betterment Verification is the only metric that counts.”

— Founder, Meer Foundation, on the Five Pillars Framework

Ways to engage

Four paths, one foundation

Each path is a separate page with its own application form, role menu, and compliance details. Click through to the one that fits you — or scroll on to see them all at a glance.

For whom

Tailored paths for three audiences

The way you engage with Meer Foundation depends on who you are. Here is how each audience typically begins — and what you can expect from your first conversation with us.

For individuals

Volunteer your skills, take an internship, or donate. Whether you have 4 hours a week or a sabbatical year, there is a path for you. Code of conduct applies. No stipend for the first 3 months of volunteering.

  • Volunteer — 6 roles, field + remote
  • Internship — 3–6 months, mentor-led
  • Donate — 80G, ₹100 minimum

For corporates

Co-design a CSR programme aligned with the Five Pillars Framework. CSR-1 registered, 80G approved, NGO Darpan listed. We deliver Betterment Verification — proof that lives measurably improved, not just compliance reports.

  • Six programme menu options
  • ₹8L to ₹2Cr budget envelopes
  • FPF-aligned closure reports

For researchers & academia

Collaborate on river fieldwork, CSR audits, or IJMEER Journal submissions. Open-access by default. CC-BY 4.0 licence. Research must produce artefacts a sarpanch can cite, not just a paper a dean can count.

  • River field research collaboration
  • IJMEER Journal submissions
  • FPF-based CSR audits
Response time

2 working days for general contact, 3 for CSR, 5 for volunteer applications, 7 for internships.

What we ask
