Donation FAQs

How do I claim my 80G tax deduction? +
After your donation, you will receive an 80G receipt by email within minutes. The receipt carries your name, PAN, donation amount, date, and our 80G registration ID (AACAM4289JF20241). When filing your Income Tax return, enter the receipt details under Section 80G. The deduction is 50% of the donated amount, subject to the qualifying-limit rule.
What is mandatory to receive an 80G receipt? +
PAN. Under Income Tax rules, the donor's PAN is mandatory for any 80G receipt above ₹2,000. We collect PAN at donation time regardless of amount to keep the receipt valid and ensure zero friction at tax time.
Can I donate via UPI, cards, and net banking? +
Yes. We accept UPI (all major apps), credit and debit cards, and net banking (all major Indian banks). International donations are not currently accepted via this form — write to us at meercare@live.com for FCRA-compliant routing.
Can my company donate as CSR spend? +
Yes — Meer Foundation is CSR-1 registered (CSR00075824). CSR donations above ₹2 lakh typically route through our CSR desk rather than this form, because CSR requires an MoU, milestone reporting, and a formal closure report. Visit the CSR Partner page to begin.
How is my donation allocated? +
The default allocation is published above: 32% Prayaas (education), 24% Bolti Nadi (environment), 22% Farmours (livelihood), 12% Health, 10% operations. If you want your donation restricted to a specific programme, write to us at meercare@live.com within 24 hours of donating.
Is my donation data secure? +
Yes. Payment is processed via a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway. We never see or store your card number or UPI PIN. We store your basic info (name, PAN, amount) for 7 years as required by Income Tax law. We never share donor data with third parties.
