Our Story & Founder

Founded with a vision to bridge the gap between rural potential and modern opportunity in Chhattisgarh.

Who We Are

Meer Foundation is a registered non-profit organization (Reg. No. 3588, Chhattisgarh Society Registration Act 1973) established in December 2011. Based in Dhamtari, we have spent over 14 years working at the grassroots level to empower marginalized communities.

Our approach is rooted in empathy and professional expertise. We don't just impose solutions; we recruit professionals with diverse expertise who work within communities to instill agency and drive long-term social, psychological, and economic change.

The Betterment Question

"How does an institution prove — to a skeptical observer — that its presence has measurably improved the communities it serves?"

Our Approach

Working with people, never for them. This founding conviction requires all our programmes to be demonstrable and community-led.
